Chainalysis incident update: what must be revoked besides passwords?
Chainalysis’s November 4 update disclosed exposed password hashes and live tokens, revising its initial assessment of credential risk. Account recovery must distinguish login credentials, existing sessions and service access.
A password change alone is a poor completion metric. Recovery also needs evidence that old access has ended and that reopening decisions are justified; reporting should preserve the sequence of changing findings.
